Combine a gourmet visit to Philippine with a stop at one of our events. The highlight of the year is the Mussel Festival on the last weekend of August. Why? Half a million kilos of Zeeland mussels are served in Philippine every year, even though its port has been closed since 1952. The Mussel Festival honours the black gold.

Mussel Festival

Every year, during the last weekend of August, Philippine falls under the spell of the Mussel Festival. The 44th edition will take place on 29 and 30 August 2020, during which visitors can look forward to a mussel opening competition, fair, live music and lots of fun. There will, of course, also be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the mussels themselves; visitors can enjoy a bowl of delicious mussels at a friendly price.
